About the North Pines CenterThe North Pines Center, NPC, provides the highest quality of individual, marital and family therapy. Our goal is to help you develop the life skills necessary toward fulfilling your potential, both personally and professionally. Loving, sharing, and planning our lives together is not always easy in today’s fast-moving society. Many problems can be solved with the help of a professional skilled in helping with stress, anxiety, depression, understanding family crisis, improving couples communications, resolving conflicts and learning to play and love again. We also treat grief reactions from death or divorce, insomnia, posttraumatic stress, PTSD, from military action, abusive relationships and family crisis, alcohol and drug dependency, fears and phobias, pain management, learning disorders, ADHD, and related concerns. The family of NPC professionals represents the professions psychology, social work, marriage and family and we also work closely with psychiatrists when needed. Together we help to creatively solve problems with skills including problem-solving counseling, cognitive behavior therapy, psychotherapy, hypnotherapy, group therapy, mindful-meditation and therapeutic methods. We also provide supervision to fellow therapists, and we teach accredited courses for licensure such as Ethical Dilemmas in a Change Profession, Pain Management, Hypnotherapy, the Spirituality of Relationships, Death Defying Psychotherapy – the Treatment of Anxiety and Psychotherapeutic Meditations, the Art of Mindfulness. The Center is located in a pastoral setting on three acres in the north Atlanta area accessible to Norcross, Dunwoody, Duluth, Roswell and Peachtree Corners.
